Wow, lots of time since 1972!! Graduated Univ of Delaware 1976, then escaped from DE to Texas for approx 10 years. Lived in Dallas for a year then moved to Houston where I got my Texas real estate sales license, then Brokers license (later realized how hard it was to get!). I worked with a corporate relocation company where I helped corporate employees with oil companies, government (SocSecAdmin, FBI, DEA, BATF), IBM, Honeywell, etc etc looking at job transfers to one of "my cities in Texas or Florida". I hooked them up with local Realtors and helped explain differences about area real estate practices. It was interesting, learned alot, and I travelled to "my areas" to make sure I knew what I was talking about. After a few trips to Florida, I couldn't get it out of my mind, and my brother Tom who was living in Coconut Grove (Miami area) at the time, said to me "Claudia, WTF are you doing in Texas?? You need to come to Florida!" I didn't have a good answer for him why I was in Texas. My brother later died in a car accident, I did a fair amount of soul-searching, came to Florida, and haven't regretted a minute. I live in Paradise and enjoy making a good living selling real estate mostly in Palm Beach County, Florida. I wake up to a beautiful view of the Intracoastal Waterway with boats going by and the North Palm Beach golf course across the way. How 'bout that?! And yes, some of the population in restaurants is a little older than I am (not geriatric, but a little older, . . . but, hey, we're all getting there!). You have more restaurants here to choose from than almost imaginable - lots of great ones. My mother comes down to visit every year for several months for a treat (it's a treat for both of us actually). I get a chance to go to the Bahamas (the Abacos) now and then (when I feel the need for a "getaway"). Is that enough? How can I not love my life? I'm very content. I'm so looking forward to catching up with everyone . . .
